The Christian County Health Department reported a confirmed case of rabies in a skunk after it bit a dog near Clever, Missouri.

Officials remind pet owners to make sure to keep rabies vaccinations current. Rabies is a deadly virus, and potentially exposed pets without a current rabies vaccination may be euthanized for testing.
