Examination

Our veterinarian will examine your puppy from nose to tail for any abnormalities. This includes assessing overall appearance, listening to the heart and lungs, and evaluating the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

Consultation

Discuss socialization, nutrition, potty training, and other basic puppy care with our veterinarian. You also have the chance to ask questions and address any concerns. Learn more about Puppy Care!

Vaccinations

The plan includes the following vaccines:

  • DA2PP vaccine: Protects against distemper, adenovirus-2, parvovirus, and parainfluenza. This vaccine is given at the initial visit and boostered every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age.
  • Rabies vaccine: Administered at the 16-week visit. The rabies vaccine is crucial for dogs as it protects them from a deadly viral disease that can be transmitted to humans and other animals.
  • Bordetella vaccine: Given orally at 13 weeks for puppies in high-risk situations (grooming, boarding, dog parks).
  • Leptospirosis vaccine: Recommended for puppies going outdoors; administered at 13 and 16 weeks. This disease is transmitted through the urine of wildlife and can cause severe illness, potentially leading to death. It is also zoonotic, meaning it can be transmitted to humans.

Intestinal Parasite Screen

Routine testing helps detect parasites like roundworms and hookworms, which can be transmitted to humans. Monthly prevention protects your puppy and your family.

Broad-Spectrum Deworming

At the initial visit, your puppy will receive a deworming treatment for hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, and whipworms.

Simparica Trio

Your puppy will receive an initial dose of Simparica Trio, a monthly chewable protecting against heartworm disease, ticks, fleas, roundworms, and hookworms.
