Although COVID-19 (coronavirus) does not appear to be infecting dogs and cats at this time, we have a plan of precautions to safeguard your health:
If you prefer to reduce your exposure to other humans, we are happy to admit and discharge your pet for visits “car-side,” so you don’t have to enter our building. Communication can be over phone/text or email for visits, and credit card payments can be collected over the phone. Please call the clinic at 417-334-7696 when you arrive, and we’ll come outside to get your pet. We’re happy to bring medication/food refills out to your car as well.
If you are sick with fever and/or respiratory symptoms, we ask that you stay home and send another person to your pet’s appointment or reschedule for a later date.
We are disinfecting commonly touched items throughout the day and asking team members with fever or respiratory symptoms in themselves or immediate family to stay home.
As you stockpile food and supplies for yourself, please consider stocking up on your pet’s supplies as well to reduce your need to break “social distancing” recommendations once the pandemic reaches us locally.
Although there are not any official recommendations in our area at this time, we take our community’s health very seriously. In an effort to minimize spread once this virus officially arrives, we will more strictly limit human entry into our clinic.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns.
As always, thank you for choosing us for your pet’s veterinary team.
We wish you all the best,
Alison Barulich, DVM and the Animal Care Clinic Team
