Preventive Care for Dogs & Cats

At Animal Care Clinic, we believe that proactive preventive care is the cornerstone of a long and healthy life for your pet. That’s why we recommend semi-annual wellness exams to keep your pet in peak health. These visits allow us to conduct thorough physical exams, discuss personalized health management strategies, and detect potential health concerns early—before they become serious. It also provides an opportunity for you to ask questions about your pet’s care, fostering a strong bond between you, your pet, and our team.

We are passionate about proactive preventive care for senior dogs and cats! We strive to intervene in the aging process before you notice signs of aging at home! As your pet ages into her senior years, national guidelines recommend screening for the early onset of common diseases associated with aging. Let’s team together and formulate strategies to help your pet live a long, fulfilling life.

Let’s work together to keep them happy and healthy.

Chronic Pain Management in Dogs & Cats

Chronic pain is a common problem in dogs and cats, and it can significantly impact their quality of life. Fortunately, there are many therapies available to help manage pain in our furry friends. Check out Librela for dogs and Solensia for cats!

Dental Care & X-rays

Keeping your pet’s mouth clean and healthy is critical to living a long and pain-free life. We are here to help you formulate the best dental home care plan! We perform dental x-rays, professional cleanings, and surgical extractions as needed. Learn more about dental care in dogs and cats!

Spay & Neuter

Not only does spaying/neutering help reduce the overwhelming pet overpopulation problem in our area, it can help reduce the risk for many health and behavioral issues. Our staff focuses on patient safety, pain management, and employing the most current surgical practices in order to minimize any risks involved with these routine surgical procedures. It’s optimal to spay or neuter your cat before 5 months of age. The timing on spaying or neutering your dog is a bit more complicated.

Urgent / Emergency Care

We try our best to accommodate emergencies and urgent care for our current patients during business hours. Please call us immediately if an urgent or emergent issue arises–we are here to help! We see after-hours emergencies for our current patients on a limited basis.

Digital Radiology (X-Rays)

X-rays are an important diagnostic tool for evaluating many diseases and injuries in our pets. Using our digital x-ray processor, we are able to refer our radiographs to a radiologist for interpretation.

ultrasound

Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan is a diagnostic tool that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your pet’s body. An ultrasound allows us to see problems with organs, vessels, and tissues without needing to make an incision. Our equipment allows us to send all of our images to a radiologist for interpretation.

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images of the heart. It allows us to see problems with the heart without needing to make an incision. Our equipment allows us to send all of our images to a cardiologist for interpretation.

Electrocardiogram

A quick, non-invasive test is a valuable tool for making anesthesia as safe as possible for your pet. Cardiologists have discovered that approximately 1 in 25 pets may have a heart rhythm issue that cannot be detected by simply listening with a stethoscope. By identifying such issues, we can customize anesthesia protocols to meet your pet’s specific needs, ensuring a safer and more tailored experience. Additionally, this test provides an added layer of precaution, helping us confirm that your pet’s heart is capable of handling the stress of anesthesia and surgery.

Laboratory Testing

We are able to quickly perform many lab tests here in our own hospital to better evaluate and treat many pet disease processes. Our state of the art machinery and trained staff can perform in-house complete blood counts, diagnostic panels, blood smears, cytologies, urinalyses, and more.

We also partner with reference laboratories for specialized tests that we do not perform in-house. This ensures access to advanced diagnostics, allowing us to accurately assess your pet’s health and make informed care decisions. This allows us to provide the highest standard of care for your pet.

Allergy Testing & Immunotherapy

We offer allergy testing and immunotherapy for dogs and cats. You should consider allergy testing & immunotherapy for your dog or cat if they are experiencing persistent or severe allergic symptoms that cannot be effectively managed with other treatments. Common symptoms of allergies in dogs include itching, scratching, chewing, licking, sneezing, and skin irritation.

Surgery

Our staff is trained to perform many surgical procedures, such as mass removals, cystotomies, abdominal exploratories, and some fracture repairs. We use the most current monitoring equipment and anesthetic protocols to ensure your pet is at minimal risk during his procedure, and we make extensive use of pain management and a surgical CO2 laser to make recovery as easy and pain-free as possible.

Nutrition and Weight Management Counseling

We are passionate about nutrition and maintaining a healthy weight! Did you know pets who maintain a healthy weight live nearly 2 years longer on average than their moderately overweight counterparts? Let us formulate specific nutritional plans for your pet to best manage his weight, food allergies, kidney/liver disease, and many other health conditions.

Geriatric and Hospice Care

We understand through first-hand experience the close bond older pets have with their families, and we want to help you have all the tools available to continue focusing on keeping your pet happy and comfortable throughout her life. If and when the time comes, we will be here to help your family through the euthanasia process, and help your pet cross the bridge with dignity and grace.

Surgical Laser

We use a CO₂ laser for surgical incisions to enhance hemostasis, reduce surgical trauma, and promote a faster, smoother recovery after surgery.

Therapeutic Laser

We offer therapeutic, or cold, laser treatment to help quickly and safely reduce swelling and speed healing in a huge variety of conditions, from arthritis to ear infections.

Microchipping

Microchipping offers a permanent form of identification, greatly increasing the chances of reuniting you with your pet if they are ever lost. This simple, one-time procedure includes lifetime registration, eliminating any concerns about additional fees or renewals. It’s a valuable investment in your pet’s safety and your peace of mind, ensuring they can always find their way back home.

Basic Grooming

We offer basic grooming services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expressions.

House Calls

We provide house calls on a limited basis for the Branson/Tri-Lakes area. Please call for scheduling and pricing information.
